Description: NWO Apraxia Support Hosting Zumbathon® for Children with Apraxia of Speech

WHAT: Come Shake It for a good cause at the NWO Apraxia Support Zumbathon®. The event consists of four 30 minute Zumba® sessions and a break with mini massages, refreshments, raffle drawings, and giveaways. Registration is $15 for Dance Only or $25 for Dance and T-shirt. Participants may arrive anytime during the event and dance as little or as much as they’d like.

WHEN: Friday, February 1, 2013 from 5 pm – 8:30 pm

WHERE: Bowling Green Community Center, 1245 W. Newton Road Bowling Green, Ohio 43402

WHO: All proceeds will benefit NWO Apraxia Support and will be utilized to help those impacted by Childhood Apraxia of Speech in Northwest Ohio. NWO Apraxia Support is a regional non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to supporting families impacted by and raising awareness about Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), as well as providing grants to fund supplemental therapies, treatments, activities, or equipment that will enhance the lives of individual children of CAS.

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a very challenging and complicated neurological speech disorder in children. This little known disorder makes it difficult or impossible for children to accurately produce sounds, syllables and/or words despite having a good understanding of language.
