Description: SANDUSKY – Corks & Creations returns to The Gallery at the Sandusky State Theatre on Thursday, February 11th.

Are you tired of the winter blues? Have you been wondering what you could give that someone special for Valentine’s Day? Are you looking for a fun, creative way to celebrate an upcoming wedding, baby shower, birthday or anniversary? Are you recently engaged and looking for an evening of fun with your friends? Then we have the answer … Join us for “Corks & Creations” in the Art Gallery at the State!

The workshop will be held on Thursday, February 11th from 6:30-9 PM. Artist Erin Cremean will lead this fantastic night of glass painting. Local art will set the atmosphere in our newly opened Art Gallery on the corner of Columbus Ave. and Water St. A cash bar will be offered with a variety of wines. Outside alcohol is not permitted at this event, however, snacks and appetizers are welcomed.

If you choose to bring 4 of your own wine, martini, or pint glasses to paint the cost of the workshop is $30. If you would like your 4 glasses provided for you the cost of the workshop is $35. Paint and art supplies will be provided. All levels of artistic skill are encouraged to attend. If you have a design that you wish to replicate please feel free to bring it along.

Description: Internationally known Fossil Creek Band, hailing from Monroe County and Northwest Ohio, will be performing at a free concert to launch their concert season at Steamers Coffee Bar 3500 W. Sterns Road in the Kroger Plaza. The concert will be from 7-9pm at the coffee shop.

Coffee and sandwiches will be available for purchase at the coffee shop, which is opening after hours for the concert.

The Fossil Creek Band is a bluegrass/Americana band that was formed in 2006. Their music is currently played on over 250 stations worldwide including the US and 35 countries. Their performances are at venues throughout the United States. Their members include Jan Hudson from Lambertville, Dave Borkowski from Toledo, Gil Evans from Holland, Ohio, Tom Galbraith from Wauseon, Ohio, and Darrell Wagner from Monroe, MI.

Description: Director Ellie Bernstein will be joining us in Toledo for the screening of her documentary: Ghost Town-The Hebron Story. Released in 2014 and narrated by Martin Sheen, the film tells the story of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine with a focus on the city of Hebron, a microcosm of religious and political conflicts in the West Bank.

Sr Paulette Schroeder, a Tifin Fransiscn nun is featured in the film and she will be joining Ellie Bernstein for a post-film discussion. This event is free and open to public. Refreshments will be served.
