Description: Ham Radio and computer enthusiasts from throughout the state of Michigan, North West Ohio, and Northern Indiana will eagerly gather at the Monroe County Fairgrounds (3775 S. Custer Rd., Monroe, MI, 48161) Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, 2014 as the Monroe County Radio Communications Association holds its 47th annual Hamfest and Computer Show. The spacious site is at the intersection of M-50 and Raisinville Road, 2 miles west of the City of Monroe, and promises to be packed with radio buffs eager to see the latest equipment, sell and trade used gear or simply to socialize and meet friends they've made over the airwaves.
Dealer set-up is at 6:30 am, with doors opening for the public at 7:30 am. Table rental is $15.00 each, trunk spaces are $10.00 each and admission is $6.00. The Monroe Hamfest features a number of commercial vendors as well as a number of amateurs with equipment to sell and trade. A vast array of amateur radio equipment and accessories, computers and software, parts, coaxial cable and connectors will greet visitors to the Monroe County Fairgrounds. The Monroe Hamfest has a large merchant building with 85 tables for inside sales, and outside, next to the building, a large space will be available for several hundred trunk sales spaces. There is plenty of free parking in the lots and handicap parking available inside the fairgrounds.
