LeSo Gallery Presents: CONSTRUCT/DESTRUCT Closing Reception
Category: Art
Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Venue: LeSo Gallery
Address: 1527 Starr Avenue
Toledo, OH

Description: LeSo Gallery, located at 1527 Starr Avenue in Toledo, presents CONSTRUCT/DESTRUCT, an exhibition of local artists, Adam Soboleski and David Short, showcasing progressive new work. These artists break from form and focus to explore the physical representations of both structure and subject. Come view these two dynamic forces in the regional art scene as they occupy both wall and pedestal in this aggressive and engaging show.

Inspired by war hammers and weapons of destruction,
Soboleski engages the old world craft into contemporary sculptures that threaten the safety of those around them. The hammers are over-sized, heavily textured, and volatile structures clearly meant for annihilation and fit for a warrior.

Complimentary to Soboleski's pieces are Short's portraits that depict the construct of the human mind, one that so often leads to its own self-destructive patterns. Developing the space between their mental and physical states, Short creates a clear struggle between the character's inner and outer workings.

The artist talks will begin around 7:45pm.

Parking is available along Starr Ave. and across the street at the Toledo Sports Center. Please refrain from parking on Valleywood Dr. in respect of our neighbors.

Any questions or other inquiries should be directed to contact@lesogallery.com and further information can be found at www.LeSoGallery.com or www.facebook.com/lesogallery .
