PRSA Monthly Meeting: Define your Consumer with Persona-Based Marketing
Category: Special Events
Time: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Venue: Mancy's Italian
Address: 5453 Monroe Street
Toledo, OH

Description: How to make more authentic connections with your target audience

Many brands are pushing beyond standard demographics to more fully understand the lifestyles of their target audience – how they spend their day, what motivates them, what stressors they face, where they spend time, how they interact with others, etc. This process humanizes your audience and allows you to connect with them and communicate with them on a more personal level.

On Friday, Oct. 24, Susan Degens, VP, Media at Hart, Inc., will explain what persona-based marketing is and how to use it, as well as apply this approach to real-world scenarios.

Susan has more than 25 years of experience in media planning and buying for both B2B and B2C clients. She admits she’s experienced a constant changing marketplace from “Media in the ‘90s” when fragmentation became a buzz word to the introduction of the “Information Superhighway” (Internet) -- back when it was still a “non-traditional” form of media -- and now the days of “Integrated Channel Planning.” Susan’s placements have likely caught your eye at some point; she’s placed media anywhere from TV and newspapers to online rich media to transit boards to ads on elevator doors and mall escalators.
