Hollywood Casino recognized as overall Rib-Off winner

A trio of rib experts emerged victorious at the 30th annual Northwest Ohio Rib-Off.

Deet’s BBQ of Maumee seized the local prize for best ribs. Butch’s BBQ won the national award.

Hollywood Casino Toledo was recognized by celebrity judges as overall champion. Judges on the celebrity panel included Mayor Mike Bell, Tony Packo, and local TV and radio personalities.

The four-day contest, at the Lucas County Fairgrounds, featured 10 competitors. About 80,000 attended, a Rib-Off record.
