    Members of the Drama Club at Perrysburg High School are polishing dance steps and fine tuning harmonies for the upcoming production of Mary Poppins, which runs April 23 through April 25.

    Teachers rally before school board meeting

    The Toledo Federation of Teachers staged a rally outside the Thrugood Marshall building before the Toledo Board of Education meeting Tuesday, March 24, 2015. The group was planning to attend the meeting to present a petition to pause state standardized testing, in particular new tests tied to the Common Core.

    Sylvania student wins karate championship

    Maria Routel-Ferguson, a 2nd grade student at Whiteford Elementary in Sylvania Schools and a student at Elite Karate Academy, competed at the Amerikick Internationals Karate Championships in Philadelphia on March 20 and 21. Maria placed 1st in creative kata, traditional kata, and musical kata, and placed 3rd in creative weapons and sparring.
