  • WHERE: Highland Meadows Golf Club, Sylvania.

  • WHEN: Begins tomorrow, with tournament competition Thursday through Sunday.

  • PURSE: $1,100,000; winner receives $165,000.

  • FIELD: 144 (140 professionals, 2 amateurs, 2 starters from Monday qualifier).

  • FORMAT: 72-hole stroke play. Field will be cut to the low 70 scores and ties after 36 holes.

  • DEFENDING CHAMPION: Se Ri Pak.

  • PROCEEDS: All Farr Classic proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities, Children's Rights Council of Northwest Ohio, Girl Scouts of Maumee Valley Council, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Catholic Club, Toledo Day Nursery, and the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic Scholarship Fund.

    11 a.m.: Qualifying for final two spots in field (at Sylvania Country Club).

    3 p.m.: Pepsi Junior Pro-Am, 9 holes.

    4 p.m.: Ronald McDonald House Charities LPGA junior clinic.

    (LPGA practice rounds throughout afternoon.)

    Tuesday

    8 a.m. and 2 p.m.: Toledo Edison/ProMedica Health System Pro-Am, Inverness Club.

    3 p.m.: Dana Celebrity/Pro Challenge.

    6 p.m.: ALLTEL Gala Dinner and Show, SeaGate Centre.

    (LPGA practice rounds throughout day.)

    Wednesday

    7 a.m.: McDonald Financial Group/Key Bank Celebrity Pro-Am.

    Thursday

    7:30-9:20 a.m. and noon-1:50 p.m.: Farr Classic first round, off Nos. 1 and 10 tees.

    MedCorp Senior Day: Fans age 55 and older admitted free and park for free at public parking lot.

    Friday

    7:30-9:20 a.m. and noon-

    1:50 p.m.: Farr Classic second round, off Nos. 1 and 10 tees.

    Saturday

    8:15 a.m. - 1:50 p.m.: Farr Classic third round, off No. 1 tee.

    Sunday

    8:15 a.m. - 1:50 p.m.: Farr Classic fourth round, off No. 1 tee.

    Weekly grounds tickets are available at Kroger stores, $40, or two for $40 with Kroger Plus card. Daily hang tags are $15 at main gate. Children 17 and under are free.

    Public parking is located at the northeast corner of Centennial and Brint roads. A $4 fee includes shuttle-bus service to and from the main gate.

  • Thursday: 6 a.m.-8 p.m.

    Parking at Highland Meadows Golf Club and Highland Elementary School will be by pass only. Some homeowners near Highland Meadows Golf Club offer parking on their lawns or driveways for various fees.

    Cell phones and beepers are not permitted. Cameras will be allowed on the grounds tomorrow through Wednesday, but not on competition days.

    Small stools and seats are permitted. No radios, TVs, picnic baskets, coolers, food or beverages may be brought onto the grounds. All patrons and any items they carry will be subject to inspection by security and local law-enforcement officials. Admission passes must be displayed at all times.
