Defending champion Paula Creamer withdrew Thursday morning from the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic.
Creamer was scheduled to tee off at 9:10 a.m. in the first round at Highland Meadows Golf Club but did not start.
She said Wednesday she had pain in her left thumb after playing in the O-I Celebrity Pro-Am and was concerned it would keep her out of the tourney. Creamer withdrew in the second round of last week's Wegmans LPGA because of the thumb injury.
"I've felt it for about a month and a half now," Creamer said Wednesday about her thumb. "These last couple events, it's been excruciating."
