All Titans advance to tennis district play

Next week's Division I district tennis competition at Bowling Green State University will be filled with Titans as all of St. John's Jesuit's players advanced from the sectional yesterday at the Courts of Sylvania.

Tim DeWitt beat Brian Donaldson 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 in an all-Titan singles final, and Amir Vaez of St. John's beat Northview's Joe Dielman 6-3, 6-3 for third place.

In the all-Titan doubles final, Rick Servoss and Andrew Masters topped Peter Kim and Ryan Westrick 6-2, 6-4.

Four singles players and four doubles teams advance to district.

DIVISION I/PERRYSBURG: Ross Wilson of St. Francis topped Perrysburg's Adam Shaeffer 6-1, 6-0 in singles. In an all-Knight doubles final, Kevin O'Connell and James O'Connell beat David Kubacki and Jeffrey Serpa 6-1, 6-4.

DIVISION I: Findlay's Ben Hannah and Doug Johnson won in doubles at Ohio Northern. Fremont Ross' Marc Brough and Paul Eckert won in doubles at Sandusky.

DIVISION II/TOLEDO: In an all-Ottawa Hills singles final, Chase Ormand beat Aaron Saferin 6-1, 6-2. In doubles, Anant Tamaraisa and Amar Desai of Maumee Valley beat Sunny Gupta and Sanjay Dasani of Ottawa Hills 6-0, 6-0.
