DIVISION V: Bergman stars as Fairview wins in OT

SHERWOOD - Dusty Bergman hit 22 of 36 passes for 451 yards and four touchdowns - and the winning two-point conversion in overtime as Fairview defeated Bluffton 28-27 last night.

The winning conversion pass went to Cale Sito.

Justin Hill caught 11 of Bergman's passes for 327 yards and three TDs - of 97, 89 and 15 yards.

Bergman's 451 passing yards are a school record and Hill's totals were also school records, as was the 97-yard TD hookup.

Eighth-ranked Fairview advances with an 11-0 record while Bluffton drops out at 8-2.

Fairview ran for just 32 yards on 13 carries while Bluffton piled up 328 yards on 69 carries as Ben McCullough had 157 on 27 attempts and Brandon Martin 153 on 35.

Bluffton added 117 through the air.

MARION, Ohio - Scott Jefferies threw three touchdown passes, and second-ranked and undefeated Pleasant amassed 509 total yards to the Wildcats' 166.

Andrew Greenley caught a 25-yard TD pass from A.J. Schlea to tie the game at 7 in the first quarter. But Woodmore (8-3) didn't score again.

Schlea was 10-of-23 for 163 yards with two interceptions.

Justin Williams rushed for 121 yards and three TDs on 21 carries for Pleasant (11-0). Preston Field added 127 yards and one touchdown on 11 totes.
