NWOAL roundup: Montpelier falls to Hicksville in double OT

MONTPELIER - Brett Diehl scored with just two seconds left in the second overtime to give visiting Hicksville a 66-64 victory over Montpelier.

Diehl scored 15 points to lead a balanced offense for the Aces, who had four players score in double figures.

Tyler Turnbull and Nate Williams each finished with 11 while Kris McDonald added 10 for Hicksville (13-7).

John Buldas scored a game-high 26 points but was the only player to score in double figures for the Locomotives (8-12).

LIBERTY CENTER - Eric Nicely scored 22 points, including four treys, to pace Ayersville, which led 28-14 by halftime.

Sergio Manriquez added 13, including three treys, for the Pilots.

Tim Myers led Liberty Center with 11 points.

Ayersville hit eight treys to Liberty Center's two.

Both teams finish 14-6.

WAUSEON - Paul Harmon knocked down a 3-pointer in overtime for Wauseon and Troy Hoste clinched the win by making 1 of 2 free throws.

Holgate's Adam Huber sent the game into overtime with a put-back basket with 10 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

Zack Feather topped Wauseon (7-13) with 13 points and Hoste scored 12.

Huber and Charlie Kelly poured in 19 points apiece for Holgate (9-11).
