High school football roundup: Rowe leads Southview over Rogers

Southview junior quarterback Kelly Rowe threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Cougars defeated Rogers 37-23 last night. Both teams are 1-1.

Rowe connected with Joey Marchand (28 yards), Aaron Waldie (25 yards) and Mike Norris (29 yards). He also had a three-yard TD run.

Southview's Kwaku Kankam rushed for 110 yards on 18 carries.

Fred Davis of Rogers picked up 102 yards on 13 carries, scoring on a 58-yard burst and on a 31-yard pass reception from quarterback Mike Ziehr. Ziehr also scored on a two-yard run.

Junior fullback Adam Bornhorst had 144 yards on 18 carries for two touchdowns to lead Troy (1-1).

Scott (0-2) opened the scoring with a 22-yard field goal by Domonique Glover.

Scott senior quarterback Kenny Davis rushed for 123 yards on 19 carries and was 10-of-22 for 140 yards passing including two TD passes - five yards to Jonathon Goldsmith (six catches, 90 yards) and two yards to Rick Isiah.
