Suburban Lakes roundup: Witker hits winner as Eastwood wins

MILLBURY - Arik Witker dropped in a layup with four seconds remaining as Eastwood edged Lake 60-58 last night in overtime.

The Eagles had to overcome torrid shooting from the Flyers, who made 20 of 32 shots from the field, including 7 of 9 3-pointers. Eastwood, however, won the rebounding battle 26-20.

Brent Snyder led the Eagles with 20 points and 8 rebounds, while Steve Beeley chipped in with 17 points.

Wes Blank paced Lake with 20 points, with Chad Tracy and Tony Marchetto contributing 15 apiece.

ELMORE - Woodmore sophomore Tyler Rosenberger had 30 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists, but Otsego won with treys and balance.

Damien Montelongo led Otsego (1-1, 1-0) with 16 points and Brodie Miller added 13.

The Knights hit 5 of 15 treys while Woodmore hit 1 of 7

Buddy Perkins added 10 points for Woodmore (1-2, 0-1).

Woodmore had more rebounds (32-26) and fewer turnovers (10-13).

The Wildcats hit just 21 of 48 2-pointers while Otsego sank 12 of 30.

GENOA - Zach Diekman scored 31 points and the Comets (1-2, 1-0) made 16 of 25 foul shots while the Golden Bears (0-3, 0-1) could only hit 4 of 13.

Brad Beach had 16 points and 15 rebounds. Matt Tomanski scored 12 points.

Ryan Wasserman led Gibsonburg with 16 points and B.J. Ernsthausen added 10.

KANSAS - Tony Overton scored 16, Adam Blachuta had 11 and Elmwood (2-1, 1-0) outscored Lakota 40-20 in the second half.

Dan Boulee led Lakota (0-2, 0-1) with 13 points and Andrew Hoffman added 12.

Elmwood made 9 of 20 foul shots while Lakota went 1 of 9.
