MICH: Wohlfarth rushes for 382 yards

OTTAWA LAKE - Whiteford running back Nick Wohlfarth set Monroe County and school records by rushing for 382 yards in a 61-20 rout of Summerfield last night.

Wohlfarth established a new school record as well when he rushed for seven touchdowns in the game.

The 6-0, 220-pound senior also registered 11 tackles. Wohlfarth has rushed for 829 yards in three games this season.

Whiteford (3-0 overall, 1-0 TCC) ran for 488 total yards. The Bobcats' Corey Ovall made 12 tackles, blocked a punt and had two sacks.

Summerfield (1-2, 0-1) totaled 199 yards with 113 through the air. The Bulldogs' Tim Sampson returned a kickoff 85 yards for a score.

ADRIAN - Jordan Eshelman completed 10 of 11 passes for 191 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Maples.

Adrian also rushed for 110 yards while holding the Kicking Mules to 57 yards rushing and eight through the air.

Dante Howard ran seven times for 64 yards for the Maples.

Dakota Cousino gained 42 yards on 11 carries for Bedford.

John Sheashon returned an interception 30 yards for the game's final touchdown.

MONROE - Monroe received a big game from Kris Evans, but it wasn't enough to hold off Belleville.

Evans returned a kickoff 95 yards in the first half, to go along with his two touchdown catches.

The Trojan wide receiver had nine catches for 62 yards and Matt Olmstead carried the ball 11 times for 52 yards.

Sean Ostrowski hauled in three catches for 49 yards for Monroe.
