NLL: Rowe, Norris lead Southview to win

Southview quarterback Kelley Rowe passed for 297 yards and Mike Norris rushed for 128 more as the Cougars defeated Rossford 35-14 last night.

Bubba Valdez led the Southview defense with two interceptions that ended with a pair of Cougar touchdowns.

Eric Thompson added 80 yards rushing on 16 attempts and three touchdowns for Southview.

Thompson had touchdown runs of 13, one and seven yards to pace an offense that gained over 300 total yards.

Drew Anthony reached the end zone on a one-yard run for Rossford, while Kevin DeStaizo hauled in a 27-yard pass for a touchdown.

Taylor Taube and Steve Harvey each ran for over 100 yards for the Blue Devils.

Taube carried the ball 16 times for 127 yards, including scores from five and 68 yards. Harvey gained 103 yards on eight attempts as Springfield gained 280 total yards.

Ronnie Tisdale recorded 103 yards on 29 carries and quarterback Sean Buckley fired for 170 yards for Perrysburg.

The Yellow Jackets ripped off 320 yards of total offense.

Evan Lawrence scored three times to lead the Wildcats.

Lawrence, who gained 150 yards on only 15 carries, scored on a 27-yard interception return and on runs of 7 and 68 yards for Northview (1-0, 1-3).

The Bobcats' (0-1, 0-4) only score came on a 33-yard pass from Matt Buckingham to Joel Metzger.

BG outgained the Wildcats 193-175 on the ground and 62-16 in the air but gave up the ball three times on interceptions. Steve Culbertson picked up 85 yards rushing on 17 tries.
