Dhondt's 24 points pace Perrysburg win

Mike Dhondt led the way for Perrysburg with 24 points in a 70-59 boys basketball victory at Clay.

Joe Caig and Tyler Winkleman added 12 apiece for the Yellow Jackets (5-2).

Perrysburg connected on 24 of 32 foul shots, including 14 of 18 in the first half, compared to the Eagles' 6 of 8.

Brett McDougle topped Clay (4-3) with 22 points, with Derek Spencer chipping in with 11.

DEFIANCE - L.J. Helton scored 21 and Austin Keel had 20 points for Defiance.

Graham Wagner added 13 points for Bulldogs (1-2), which scored 26 fourth-quarter points to overcome a 43-39 deficit.

Joe McVicker paced the Generals (3-5) with 23 points. Brent Papenfuss and Tony Zacharias added 11 and 10, respectively.

AW won the rebounding battle 33-26 but also suffered 15 turnovers to the Bulldogs' eight.

BOWLING GREEN 77, EASTWOOD 44

BOWLING GREEN - The Bobcats showed their inside superiority to jump to a 28-9 lead after one quarter and led 50-18 at the half.

Ryan Hoehner scored 21 points off the bench for Bowling Green (6-2), while Andrew Vroman added 20 points and nine rebounds.

Kevin Leady and Chad Albright scored 10 apiece for the Eagles (2-3).

Michael Graffin chipped in with eight points, nine rebounds and six assists for BG. Eric Croyle had seven points and eight assists.

FOSTORIA 74, NORWALK 69

FOSTORIA - Jake Diebler scored 27 points and Jon Diebler added 25 for the Redmen.

Stephon Hunter paced Norwalk with 19 points.

HOPEWELL-LOUDON 59, OLD FORT 47

BASCOM - Drew Clouse tallied 13 points and Jason Painter added 10 for the Chieftains (4-3, 2-1 MAL), who led 24-17 at the half.

Paul Roberts (17) and Brandon Kistler (16) paced the Stockaders (2-4, 1-1).

TINORA 65, HILLTOP 38

TINORA - Ian Weber scored 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the victorious Rams. Brandon Stokey and Mike Meyer added 12 apiece for Tinora, which sank 21 of 32 free throws to the visitors' 9 of 21.
