Girls roundup: Keesey scores 34

SWANTON - Jennifer Keesey, a 5-9 senior guard, scored 34 points to lead Swanton to a 64-48 victory over Liberty Center last night in NWOAL girls basketball.

Abby LaVigne added 11 points, Tarah Dominique had 10 and Chelsea White grabbed 11 rebounds as Swanton (6-3, 2-1) had a 39-23 edge in that department.

Amanda Bell led Liberty Center (6-5, 1-2) with 10 points.

SOUTHVIEW 63, SPRINGFIELD 23

Liz Tansey scored 14 for Southview (4-4, 3-1 NLL) while Jessica Hausfeld added 10.

Michelle Trumbull led Springfield (2-5, 0-4) with seven points.

MAUMEE 72, ROSSFORD 34

Mikki Sutherland scored 17 of her 19 points in the first half as Maumee romped at home.

Shelly Warner and Katie Greisiger added 14 apiece for the Panthers (2-7, 2-2 NLL).

Courtney Simmons and Chassidy Tooson had eight each for Rossford (2-7, 1-3).

MILLBURY - Nicole Nissen and Keri Williams powered the Comets (4-5, 2-3 SLL) to victory with 21 and 16 points, respectively.

Lindsay Heidebrink (14 points), Megan Jacks (14) and Kelly McPherson were in double figures for Lake (1-9, 0-5).

PEMBERVILLE - Whitney Hartman led Eastwood (5-5, 4-1 SLL) with 18 points and Kim Young added 12.

Julia Weisenborn led Otsego (3-7, 2-3) with eight.

BLOOMDALE - Elmwood placed five in double figures - Brittany Berry with 14, Amber Morgart and Kelly Wagner with 13 apiece, Kristen Keys with 11 and Alena Hernandez with 10.

Mallory Fleming led Gibsonburg with 20 and Julie Beaschler added 12.

ELMORE - Sue Brickner led Lakota with 18 points, Erica Walters added 15 and Erin Graber had 12. Leah Garcia led Woodmore with 11 points.

Northwood outscored Ottawa Hills 24-10 in the fourth quarter.

Jamie Flick led Northwood (5-3, 2-0 TAAC) with 18 points, including 12 of 16 shooting at the foul line where the Rangers were 21 of 31. Brittany Bogart added 11.

Rachel Garber led Ottawa Hills (1 of 4 from the line) with 14 and Julie Lorkowski had 1.

Kelcee Evans and Nicole Bergman each scored 17 points and Kristen Ameling added 16 with eight rebounds for Cardinal Stritch (7-2, 3-0 TAAC).

Alissa Toth paced Toledo Christian (5-2, 1-2) with 24 points, including 14 from the free throw line where the Eagles were 18 of 28. Andrea Barlage added 17. Stritch went 18 of 28 from the line.

METAMORA - Leslie Stong had 21 points and Natalie Creque 11 for the Vikings (6-1, 2-1 NWOAL), who broke a tie by outscoring the Panthers 16-4 in the second quarter. Jessica Davis led Delta (2-5, 1-2) with 10 points.
