Rossler, an assistant baseball coach the past 25 years, replaces Dan Clayton, a 1979 Waite graduate who took the job at Genoa after posting a 109-54 record over the past seven years.
“We ll just try to keep the program going in a positive direction, Rossler said.
He has been in charge of the school s in-school suspension program for 25 years. He also has served 23 seasons as a football assistant and the last two years as assistant athletic director.
He coached the Scott football team in 1986 and 1987.
Rossler s promotion is subject to the approval of the board of education.
