NLL: Skeels' passing sparks Southview

Andrew Skeels hit 16 of 25 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns to lead Southview to a 38-7 victory last night at Anthony Wayne.

Skeels connected with Michael Campbell for 27 yards, Malcolm Campbell for 78 yards and Aaron waldie for 18.

Southview (6-0, 3-0) also got a 14-yard run by Gary Shannon, a 55-yard jaunt by Kwesi Kankam and a 22-yard field goal by Kevin Lanning.

Malcom Campbell had four catches for 133 yards.

Anthony Wayne (2-4, 1-2) scored on a four-yard run by Brad Bellner. Generals quarterback Alex Keyer hit 12 of 19 passes for 166 yards.

Maumee 21, Rossford 7

The Bulldogs were still in the game in the last minute, trying for a tying touchdown, when the Panthers' Jordan Brenner intercepted a pass and bolted 70 yards for a clinching TD with 49.3 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Jake Causer passed 23 yards to Alex Junga to put Maumee (5-1, 2-1) on the scoreboard first and Kevin Wagner evened it up for Rossford (3-3, 1-2) with a three-yard TD run later in the first quarter.

Brad Goatley put the Panthers on top for good by scampering 48 yards for a TD in the second period.

Springfield 13, Northview 8

Springfield rode its strong running game to victory over Northview, piling up 260 yards rushing on 45 attempts.

DeAngelo Alexander picked up 106 yards on 15 carries, including a 49-yard touchdown run. Rick Isby added 68 yards on 13 carries (with a five-yard TD run) for the Blue Devils (2-4, 1-2).

Northview's offense could only muster two field goals by Jimmy Spencer.

In addition, the defense provided a safety by Brian Grabowski on a blocked punt.

The Wildcats (3-3, 1-2) threw for 135 yards, but were hampered by three interceptions.

Bowling Green 29, Perrysburg 7

BOWLING GREEN - Josh Swiecicki ran for 143 yards on 19 carries and scored on a pair of one-yard touchdown runs to pace Bowling Green (2-4, 2-1).

The Bobcats also scored on a one-yard pass from Swiecicki, a 17-yard run by Thomas Rodriguez and a 26-yard field goal by Daniel Jacoby.

Ben Marshall scored on a 65-yard run for Perrysburg (2-4, 1-2).
