Northern Lakes: Perrysburg gets by Springfield

Jason Rager scored 14 points, and hit two foul shots that put Perrysburg ahead to stay with 3:20 left in the game as the visiting Yellow Jackets defeated Springfield 54-49 last night.

Ian Milne added 12 points and Scott Perkins 10 for Perrysburg (3-1, 3-0).

Fletcher Noble paced Springfield (1-3, 0-3) with 19 points and Tyler Ammons added 16.

The difference in the game was the beyond-the-arc success for the Jackets as they connected on nine treys to the Blue Devils' four.

Ryan Hoehner led visiting Bowling Green (5-0, 3-0) with a game-high 22 points.

Jeremiah Kollar and Moe Al-Jiboury dropped in 13 points apiece for the Bobcats.

Northview (0-4, 0-3) had four players score in double-figures, led by Derek Andrzejcyak's 16. Sam Myers added 13, Matt Wade had 11 and Kevin Bockert 10.

Kris Koval poured in 26 points and Brent Papenfuss hit 22 as Anthony Wayne knocked off Southview in overtime. Papenfuss hit four of AW's seven treys.

Derrick Holloway paced Southview with 20 points and Josh Murchison and Michael Campbell added 10 points each.

AW hit 18 of 32 foul shots and Southview 9 of 19.

Lamonte Dawson scored 23 points to pace Maumee.

Kipp Dawson added 11 for the 2-1 Panthers and Daryel Washington had 10. Sean Kanary paced Rossford with nine points.

Lamonte Dawson scored 10 2-pointers, just two fewer than the Rossford team. Each team hit three treys and Maumee outscored the visitors 13-5 at the foul line.
