Northview remains perfect in NLL play

Northview's girls improved to 11-1 overall and 7-0 in the Northern Lakes League with a 61-43 victory last night at Perrysburg.

Lisa Johnson led Northview with 17 points, Rianna Miller had 16 and Niki McCoy 15.

Ashley Parrish paced Perrysburg (7-6, 4-3) with 12 points.

SOUTHVIEW 53,

SPRINGFIELD 32

Eight players scored in the second quarter alone for Southview (11-1, 6-1 NLL), which led 33-9 at halftime, and Mandi Lisk finished with 11. Kelcee Gwozdz paced Springfield (6-4, 3-4) with 10.

BOWLING GREEN 40,

ROSSFORD 34

BOWLING GREEN - Christine Simon and Amanda Kern scored 11 points apiece, with Kern getting four of the Bobcats' six in overtime. Bowling Green is 5-7 overall and 3-4 in the NLL.

Chassidy Tooson led Rossford (2-8, 1-6) with 10 points and 23 rebounds as the Bulldogs won 55-39 on the boards.

ANTHONY WAYNE 53,

MAUMEE 48

Kelsey Nagel scored 15 points in leading the Generals.

After Maumee had taken a 48-47 lead, the Generals (5-7, 4-3 NLL) scored the last six points of the game at the free throw line and finished with 24 of 42 free throws to the Panthers' 9 of 19.

Trisha Krewson and Lindsay Diegel paced the Panthers (2-9, 0-7) with 16 and 11 points, respectively.

OTSEGO 52,

WOODMORE 41

TONTOGANY - Each team hit 12 2-pointers, each hit four 3-pointers, but Otsego canned 16 of 24 foul shots to Woodmore's 6 of 7.

Erin Limes led Otsego (9-2, 7-1 SLL) with 20 points while Megan Abbey had 17 for Woodmore (4-7, 2-5).

ELMWOOD 61, LAKE 35

BLOOMDALE - Elmwood (12-0, 7-0 SLL) placed four in double figures as Kelly Wagner had 16, Brittany Berry 15 and Brooke Morgart and Betsy Parker 10 apiece. Sarah Recny led Lake with eight.

Elmwood hit 28 of 55 shots from the field while Lake hit 13 of 49.

GIBSONBURG 62,

KANSAS - Kim Schumacher led Gibsonburg with 24 points and Aisha Kaemming added 10.

Becky Cheatham had 14 for Lakota.

EASTWOOD 77, GENOA 50

PEMBERVILLE - Kim Young scored 18 points, Lynsey McIntire 18 and Megan McCracken 10 for Eastwood (9-4, 6-1 SLL).

Mallory Imbery led Genoa (3-9, 2-5) with 17, Brittany Darling had 11 and Anbbey Kontak 10.

SWANTON - Abby LaVigne scored 13 points, Michelle Wilson had 12 and Swanton (9-3) took control with a 16-4 advantage in the third quarter.

Sarah Bruner led Pettisville (4-7) with eight points.

METAMORA - Natalie Creque scored 17, Haley Keller had 15 and Kelly Beer 13 for Evergreen (5-5). Keri Slane had 11 for Hilltop (5-7).

STRYKER - Shelly Cain led Wauseon with 19 and Katie Hill added 13.

Molly Boetz led Stryker with 16 points.

LAKESIDE - Allie DeCaro led St. Mary Central Catholic with eight points and Erin Steinbrick had eight for Danbury.

Dambury won on the boards 30-25 but committed 22 turnovers to SMCC's 17.

FAYETTE - Stephanie McCord hit a career-high 28 points to pace Fayette (10-2). Samantha Schaffner added 14.

Lauren Jones and Jennifer Headley scored 12 apiece for Hicksville (6-4).

BASCOM - Courtney Ritzler and and Kim Hohman scored 14 apiece for Hopewell-Loudon. Danielle Zurvalec paced Oak Harbor with 13.

FREMONT - Tia Simms led the Little Giants with 20 points and eight rebounds. Amber Collins had 13 for Columbian.
