SLL: Wansitler sparks Elmwood

BLOOMDALE - Eric Wansitler poured in 18 points and hauled down eight rebounds as Elmwood dumped Gibsonburg 61-51 last night.

Dustin Reynolds chipped in with 14 points and nine rebounds for the Royals (7-3, 6-1), while Al Tyson and Chad Reynolds contributed 10 points apiece.

Eric Gilson paced the Golden Bears (8-4, 5-2) with 13 points, while Nathan Kirwen added 12 and Marcus Ahle had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Eastwood 64, Otsego 58

PEMBERVILLE - Eastwood trailed 49-38 after three quarters before exploding for 26 points in the fourth period in registering the victory.

The Eagles (5-4, 4-3) were in the bonus at the start of the final quarter and took advantage of it, draining 13 of 14 free throw attempts in the period. They also were 3-of-3 from 3-point range in the quarter.

Eastwood's Kevin Leady scored eight of his game-high 22 points in the fourth period and Joe Mulder notched 10 of his 11 points. Tracy Hunter also scored 11 points and Andy Stickel 10 for the Eagles in the game.

Jordan Murphy tallied 16 points, Casey Donald 14 and Matt Warner 13 for the Knights (6-4, 4-3).

Woodmore 62,

Lakota 38

KANSAS - The Wildcats won comfortably as Tyler Rosenberger led the way with 28 points. Joe Nowak followed with 14 points and Derek Speaker 10 for Woodmore (9-1, 6-1).

The Wildcats forced the Raiders into 17 turnovers while making only four errors.

Trevor Hohman produced 18 points for Lakota (2-8, 0-7).

Lake 61, Genoa 56

GENOA - Matthew Rollins held the hot hand for the Flyers (3-8, 2-5), leading the way with 20 points. He had help from Tyler Steedman (13 points), Andy Zartman (12) and Cody McPherson (10).

Anthony Robertson scored 12 points and Craig Novotney 11 for Genoa (3-8, 1-6).

Lake put the game away by making 6 of 7 free throws in the final quarter as Rollins scored nine points in the period.

Genoa was hampered by a six-point output in the second quarter.
