NWOAL: Shackleford leads Delta over Antwerp

DELTA - Ryan Shackleford scored 15 points as Delta closed out a 14-6 regular season with a 49-44 victory over Antwerp last night.

Clint Russell and Kyle Bostater added 10 apiece for Delta.

Aaron Taylor had 14, Colt

Kemerer 13 and Rob Woodard 10 for Antwerp (9-11).

Delta outscored Antwerp 16-11 in the fourth quarter.

Patrick Henry 40, Tinora 33

HAMLER - The Patriots won despite a four-point first quarter and not having a scorer reach double digits.

Ben Botjer led Patrick Henry (11-9) with nine points, mostly on the strength of a 5-for-6 night at the foul line. The Patriots hit 7 of 12 from the line to Tinora's 2-for-2.

Aaron Roberts paced Tinora (9-11) with 10 points.

Bryan 60, Edgerton 52

BRYAN - Tyler Hollabaugh led the Golden Bears (4-16) with 15, Tyler Smith had 13 - including 11 from the foul line - and Joe Silva had 10.

Bryan outscored Edgerton 25-10 at the foul line.

Chris Everetts led Edgerton (11-9) with 19 points and Mark Nye added 15.

Montpelier 53,

Monclova Christian 40

Josh Daft and A.J. Hepner scored 12 points each as visiting Montpelier (7-13) won.

Matt Velazquez led Monclova Christian (7-13) with 16 and Derek Merrin had 13.

Merrin finishes his career with 1,314 points.

Monclova Christian connected on seven treys, but had only five 2-pointers.

Holgate 32, Wauseon 28

HOLGATE - The Indians rallied from a 29-14 deficit after three quarters by hitting 9 of 9 free throws in the final period, but it wasn't enough to catch the Tigers.

Andy Gerschutz and Blake Sizemore scored seven points apiece to lead Holgate (16-4).

Jake Unger paced Wauseon (9-11) with nine points. Jake Reckner had seven.

Archbold 59,

Van Wert 55

VAN WERT - Dan Borcherdt scored 30 points and Archbold got by Van Wert with a 36-20 advantage in the second half.

David Borcherdt added 11 points and Kirk Weldy 10 as the Streaks finished 19-1.
