SLL: Tarver resets Lake record

GIBSONBURG - Another week, another record for Dan Tarver.

Tarver ran for a Lake-record 329 yards on 19 caries and scored four touchdowns as the Flyers defeated Gibsonburg 40-0.

Tarver scored on runs of 66, 46, 57 and 5 yards. Last week he ran for 327 yards and scored six TDs.

Lake (4-2, 2-1) also got a 57-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Rice to Bryan Conley and a one-yard TD plunge from Ryan Greenlese.

Lake ran for 408 yards and added 62 passing while Gibsonburg (0-6, 0-3) had 97 rushing and 21 passing.

Woodmore 38, Genoa 6

GENOA - Chris Weiland ran 13 times for 160 yards and two touchdowns, and the Wildcats pulled away with four scoring plays that covered 57 or more yards.

Woodmore (2-4, 2-1) got started when Joel Shettine caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Curtis Schlea in the first quarter. Weiland followed with a 67-yard TD burst and Mark Ribe kicked a 22-yard field goal to make it 17-6 at the half.

Schlea later ran 69 yards for a score, Weiland went 57 yards, and Jordan Shaw caught a 70-yard TD pass.

Adam Egbert scored on a one-yard run for Genoa (1-5, 0-3) in the second quarter.

The Wildcats compiled 267 yards on the ground and 121 through the air. The Comets rushed for 91 yards and threw for 45.

Elmwood 33, Lakota 10

KANSAS - Elmwood pulled away after trailing 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Dusty Brown and Al Tyson paced the Royals (4-2, 3-0).

Tyson had a one-yard TD run and a 30-yard scoring strike to Adam Sheline.

Dusty Brown scored on three short runs - 4, 4 and 3 yards.

Steven Havens scored for Lakota (2-4, 0-3) on a 14-yard run and Tom Foos hit a 25-yard field goal.

Elmwood ran for 163 yards and passed for 169. Lakota ran for 79 and passed for 69.
