Bowling Green wins golf sectional

Bowling Green, led by Alex Clifford s 70, ran away from the field in the Division I golf sectional at Eagles Landing.

The Bobcats totaled 291 to runner-up Bowsher s 325. St. John s won the third ticket to district play on the first playoff hole after tying Napoleon at 328 over regulation.

BG also got a 71 from John Powers, 74 from Tony Graham and 76 from Ryan Thayer.

Adam Crisp paced Bowsher with 75 and Kevin Williams added a 78.

Nate Anderson and Paul Kolovich led St. John s at 80 apiece

same as Napoleon s Jared Lambert and Tony Johnson.

Four individuals also advance to Red Hawk in Findlay next week Start s Adam Reny (77), Perrysburg s Tom Harmon (77), Tiffi n Columbian s Peter Guzowski (78) and Anthony Wayne s Jason

Glass (79).

In the Division I sectional at Stone Ridge, Northview won with 314 as Tim Hurst shot 74, Chase Yacko 78 and Ben Treece 79.

Southview as second with 325, led by Will Watkins 76 and Karl Evanoff s 82.

Springfi eld was third with 335 as Matt Grant shot 79 and Eric Anderson 83.

Ryan Kaminski paced the individual qualifi ers with a 77. Also advancing are Mike Flis of St. Francis (82) Whitmer s Jake Collins (82) and Clay s Jeff Brower.
