Girls basketball: Irish, Arrows suffer losses

PICKERINGTON Ashleigh Brown hit a jumper from the corner with two seconds left to lift Delaware Hayes to a 52-50 girls basketball victory over Central Catholic last night in the Pickerington Central MLK Shootout.

Mallory Strall scored 13 points and Sharise Calhoun added 11 for the Irish (7-6).

Katie Miller paced Hayes (12-1) with 21 points.

BEXLEY 48, ST. URSULA 34

PICKERINGTON Allison Florian scored 13 points, but the Arrows (5-7) made just 25 percent of their field goal tries.

Bree Hinkie scored 16 and Jane Geldis 10 for Bexley (9-2).

NORTHVIEW 58, CLAY 23

Ashley Morris, Lisa Johnson and Riana Miller scored 14 points apiece to lead the Wildcats (9-1). Amanda Watson and Molly Berry tallied six each for the Eagles (3-7).

NOTRE DAME 60,WOODWARD 26

Patrice Lalor and MalloryMyers contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the Eagles (9-3, 5-2 CL). Yolanda Richardson scored 12 to lead Woodward (0-9, 0-7).

MAUMEE VALLEY 46,CARDINAL STRITCH 38

Alexis Holman recorded 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for Maumee Valley (4-6, 2-3 TAAC). Kathleen Choka added 15 points for the Hawks.

Katie Bochi topped the Cardinals (2-8, 1-4) with 12 points.

TOLEDO CHRISTIAN 57, NORTHWOOD 52

Brittany Bogart poured in 32 points for the Rangers, butEmily Cellier scored 19 to lead a more balanced attack by the Eagles.

Jacki Emmenecker contributed 16 points and 15 rebounds for Toledo Christian (7-4, 3-2 TAAC) and Shannon Longenecker tallied 11 points.

Laryn Ziegler added 16 points for Northwood (6-6, 3-3), which led 24-20 at the half.

DELTA 38, OTSEGO 33

TONTOGANY Karlee Bauman and Hannah Hogrefe tallied nine points each for the Panthers (4-6). Britton Long scored 13 forOtsego (1-11).

OAK HARBOR 36,SANDUSKY ST. MARY CC 34

SANDUSKY Erica Lipstraw tallied 13 points and Brittany Slauterbeck had 11 for the Rockets. Jillian Faggonato scored 11 for the Panthers.

OTTOVILLE 47, MILLER CITY 39

OTTOVILLE Amy Honigford scored 15 points to pace the Big Green (11-1), which had a 16-9 edge in the fourth quarter.

Stacey Niese tallied 17 and Melanie Schroeder 14 for Miller City (10-3).

ARCHBOLD 52,WAYNE TRACE 46

HAVILAND Erin Buehrer led Archbold (11-1) with 13 points. Lex Kennedy and Molly Grime had 11 each and Lea Lehman 10.
