Girls basketball: Langenderfer sinks winning point for Evergreen

METAMORA - Taylor Langenderfer hit the first of a one-and-one free throw opportunity with six seconds left in the game to give Evergreen a 50-49 girls basketball victory last night over Ottawa Hills.

Natalie Creque led the Vikings (11-8) with 19 points and Megan Jamieson scored 21 for Ottawa Hills (15-4).

Jacki Emmencker led the Eagles (11-7, 6-4 TAAC) with 19 points, Emily Cellier added 15, Joanna Beauch 14 and Shannon Longenecker 10.

Alexis Holman had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks (7-12, 3-8).

EASTWOOD 63,

WOODMORE 36

ELMORE - The Eagles easily moved to 13-0 in the Suburban Lakes League and 17-2 overall as Kim Young scored 15 points and Megan McCracken, Alyssa Jacoby and Lynsey McIntire added 11 apiece.

Casza Rhodes paced the Wildcats (12-7, 9-4) with 12 points.

CARDINAL STRITCH 67,

FOSTORIA - Eric McCloskey scored 21 points, Michael Ameling had 12 and Nate Cassidy and Garrett Petty 10 apiece for Stritch, which hit 26 of 48 shots from the field.

Adam Ward scored 20 for St. Wendelin.

HAMLER - The Patriots rolled as Kyle Brubaker scored 19 points, Ajay Meyer had 14 and Kyle Tietje and Kevin Tietje added 11 apiece.

Brad Betz led Swanton with nine. Patrick Henry shot 58 percent from the field.
