NLL Girls: Perfection for Southview

Southview capped a perfect regular season last night with a 42-21 girls Northern Lakes League basketball victory at Springfield.

Liz Tansey and Mandi Lisk scored 10 points apiece for the Cougars (20-0, 14-0), the No. 2-ranked Division I team in Ohio.

Christine Zappone paced the Blue Devils (6-14, 3-11).

Southview led 9-3 after the first quarter and 21-7 by halftime.

Anthony Wayne 57,

Maumee 45

Jordyn Sadowski scored 18 points, Allison Papenfuss had 16 and visiting Anthony Wayne outscored Maumee 20-12 in the first quarter and 17-6 in the third.

Lindsay Diegel paced Maumee (10-10, 6-8) with 19 points and Ann DeAngelo added 11.

The Generals (11-9, 9-5) hit three 3-pointers to the Panthers' zero and outscored them 16-11 at the free throw line.

Bowling Green 42,

Rossford 41

BOWLING GREEN - Kelsie Herrera scored 13 points and Rebekah Peters and Kelli Gill added 10 points apiece for Bowling Green (2-18, 2-12).

Kristen Miller scored 16 points for Rossford (6-14, 1-13) and Katie Keller notched 10.

Bowling Green controlled the third quarter with a 14-6 advantage, and Rossford's fourth quarter rally fell short despite outscoring Bowling Green 15-12.

Northview 54, Perrysburg 30

Lisa Johnson scored 21 points, Briana Miller added 13 and Northview's defense held Perrysburg to single-digit points in three quarters.

Nicole Parrish led Perrysburg (12-8, 8-6) with nine points and Ashley Parrish had eight.

Northview finishes the regular season 17-3, 12-2.
