Scott defeats St. John's in City title game
2/23/2006Scott defeated St. John s Jesuit 56-51 in double overtime Thursday night at Savage Hall in the City League championship.
Scott s win ended St. John s run of four straight CL playoff titles, and its own five-game losing skid against the Titans in City finals.
It was the just the third time in the 39-year history of the City championship game that overtime was required, and the second time two extra periods were needed.
Scott (19-1) earned its first CL crown since 2001.
