Beford golfers sixth in state tournament

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Led by Mindy Russell's 80, Bedford's girls placed sixth at the Michigan state golf tournament completed yesterday at Forest Acres East on the campus of Michigan State.

The Mules' two-day total was 680. Grand Blanc won the 15-team event at 638.

Other Bedford scores were Megan Russell 82, Sara Porter 90 and Kaendall McVicker 93.
