Darling scores 35 in Genoa victory

GENOA - Brittany Darling scored 35 points, and Genoa scored 25 points in the fourth quarter to defeat Oak Harbor 70-61 last night in girls basketball.

Darling had 15 2-point field goals, matching Oak Harbor's team total. Abbey Kontak and Simone Eli added 11 points apiece for the Comets.

Danielle Zurvalec scored 17, Jillian McFarlan 12 and Erica Lipstraw 11 for Oak Harbor.

ROGERS 55, FREMONT ROSS 44

Alisia Brewer scored 15 points, Jasmine Crosby had 12 and Laquarrie Parnell grabbed eight rebounds to pace Rogers.

Ashley Long led visiting Fremont Ross with 13 points.

NORTHWOOD 43, LIBBEY 24

Marissa Reighard paced Northwood with 16 points while Stephanie Morris paced visiting Libbey with eight.

Carlee Roethlisberger scored 19 points and Ashley Peterson and Christina Cruce added 10 apiece to lead visiting Findlay, which outscored Anthony Wayne 13-1 in the third quarter.

Allison Papenfuss led AW with 15 and Jordyn Sadowski had 11.

Katie Keller scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Rossford opened with a victory. Christine Nirschl added 10 for the Bulldogs. Stephanie Loomis led visiting Fostoria with 18 points and Aja Hall added 10.

TONTOGANY - Taylor Langenderfer scored 20 points, Tasha Patek added 12, Steph Bohland 11 and Blair Bohland 10 for Evergreen.

Alysha Gruelich paced Otsego with 17, Kara Dickey added 14 and Baley Bernthisel 10.
