NLL GIRLS: Parrishes combine for 33 as Perrysburg tops Maumee

The Perrysburg girls took control early behind the scoring of Ashley Parrish as the Yellow Jackets defeated Maumee 55-30 to improve to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the Northern Lakes League.

Parrish dominated in the first quarter, scoring 13 of her 15 points as Perrysburg jumped to a 21-8 lead. Her teammates helped her out the rest of the way, especially Nicole Parrish, who scored a team-high 18 points.

The Panthers never could get any momentum, falling behind 32-13 by halftime in dropping to 3-4 and 2-2 on the season. Maumee was led by Lindsey Diegel with 16 points.

Southview 50,

Rossford 17

Southview sprinted out to a 23-6 lead at halftime and never looked back as Kelsey Navarre poured in 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Cougars.

The Bulldogs were paced by Anne Yenrick's eight points.

Springfield 62,

Bowling Green 47

BOWLING GREEN - Down 14-10 after the first quarter, Springfield bedeviled the Bobcats with a 19-2 second quarter and cruised to the NLL victory.

Hillary Fountain and Hillary Dean led the Blue Devils with 19 and 11 points, respectively. Whitney Lane scored 16 for the Bobcats.
