TAAC: Toledo Christian tops Ottawa Hills

Toledo Christian continued its early season success as the Eagles handled Ottawa Hills 66-35 in TAAC boys action.

The game was a matchup of two of the league's top teams, and the contest was close after one quarter as the Green Bears clung to a 13-12 lead, but the Eagles turned the game into a rout into the second quarter by outscoring Ottawa Hills 23-5.

Tyler Boris did much of the damage for Toledo Christian (6-0, 3-0), scoring his 13 points in the second and third quarters when the Eagles outscored the Green Bears 44-9. Teammate Ethan Michael led all scorers with 14.

Ottawa Hills (5-2, 1-2) was paced by Andrew Wolff's 12 points.

Cardinal Stritch 57, Danbury 48

Nate Cassidy led the way with 16 points while teammates Michael Ameling and Eric McCloskey chipped in with 14 points apiece as the Cardinals rallied past the Lakers in the TAAC.

After trailing 14-8 at the first quarter break, Cardinal Stritch (4-1, 3-1) doubled up on Danbury with a 34-17 advantage in the next two periods.

Nick Wiedenhoft led the Lakers with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Michael Hamann had 11 points for Danbury.

LAKESIDE - Nicole Lamb led Cardinal Stritch (5-3, 2-1 TAAC) to a win Thursday with 11 points.

Megan Twarek scored 12 and Christine Longer 10 for Danbury (4-3, 2-2 ).
