Girls basketball: Jackets pull away in fourth quarter

Springfield stayed with Perrysburg for three quarters last night in Northern Lakes League girls basketball, but the visiting Yellow Jackets outscored the Blue Devils 10-2 in the final quarter for a 48-34 victory.

Nicole Parrish led the Jackets with 19 points and Amber Feckley added 13. Hillary Fountain led the Blue Devils with 10.

Perrysburg hit 12 of 26 free throws while Springfield went 0 for 4.

NORTHVIEW 45,

ROSSFORD 36

Ashley Morris scored 12 points to pace visiting Northview, which outscored Rossford 8-0 at the free throw line.

Katie Keller led Rossford with 12 points.

The Bulldogs 36 points came on 18 2-pointers. Northview hit one 3-pointer.

BOWLING GREEN 36

Anthony Wayne was in control by halftime, 39-9.

Jordan Sadowski led the 10-1 Generals with 16 points and eight rebounds, Ashley Bromley added 13 points and Allison Papenfuss had 11 points and nine rebounds.

Liz Hammer scored nine for Bowling Green.

Jackie Freesen led Southview with 17 points, including the only three 3-pointers made in the game. Lindsay Diegel scored nine for Maumee.

Alisia Brewer led a balanced Rogers' attack with eight points and Destany Parker grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with seven points. Erin McCullough led Delta with 10 points.

FREMONT ROSS 47,

FREMONT - Victoria Logan had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Little Giants, and Ashley Long added 14 points.

Ashley Hooke led Whitmer with 11 points and Shelby Ramirez added 10.

PORT CLINTON - Port Clinton placed four in double figures as Allie DeCaro scored 16, Mari Monaco 13, Mallory Long 12 and Kelly Logsdon 10. Megan Bitter led Woodmore with 12 points.

BASCOM - Unbeaten Hopewell-Loudon got 16 points from Courtney Ritzler and 12 from Carrie Ritzler. Liz Hohman scored 13. Zoe Huff led Gibsonburg with nine points.

Cardinal Stritch won its seventh straight game as Katie Bochi scored 14 points and Nicole Lamb added 10. Stritch (9-3) led 24-3 at the half. Brittany Vanaman led North Baltimore with 11 points.
