    • Key stats: Named City League player of the year for the third straight time and All-Blade player of the year for the second time. Ulis was the driving force behind the Indians third consecutive CL championship, 18-1 regular-season finish and No. 3 final state ranking in Division I. She averaged 15.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.7 steals per game while shooting 42 percent from the field and 76 percent from the line. Ulis is Waite s all-time scoring leader (boy or girl) with 1,193 points.

    • Coach says: Shareese is all about hard work. She puts in the time and she s relentless. She never gives up. She s always improving her game and trying to improve her teammates games. She s the leader, the elder statesman, the general. Manny May

    • Position: Forward

    • Key stats: With the potential to be one of the City League s all-time best female players, the quick and agile Howard burst onto the scene this season to lead the CL in scoring at 16.1 points per game. She was second in the league in rebounding (11.2). Shot 58 percent from the field, had 48 steals and 35 blocked shots.

    • Coach says: Natasha is a young Magic Johnson. She rebounds, she handles the basketball and she s unselfish. The things she does with a basketball at 6-3 some guards can t do at 5-5. She can flat-out play, and she s still learning the game. Manny May

    • Key stats: A four-year varsity starter, Johnson, who has verbally committed to Xavier University; helped the Rebels to four straight CL playoff appearances while three times earning first-team All-City honors. This season, Johnson averaged 15.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals while shooting 49 percent from the field and 58 percent from the line.

    • Coach says: Steph is a very versatile player. She can play anywhere from point guard to the post, and she can defend any position. For her size, she s a very strong player physically. She has great work ethic and, in big games, she reaally steps up. Karen Lake

    • Class: Sophomore

    • Height: 6-0

    • Position: Forward

    • Key stats: She plays with a relentlessness that goes unmatched by the opposition. A fierce rebounder at both ends of the floor. She averaged 15.9 points and 10.6 rebounds to lead AW to its best season in history, including a 14-0 record in the Northern Lakes League. She had season-highs of 32 points and 19 rebounds. Her tenacity near the basket is complemented by a soft shooting touch from the perimeter.

    • Coach says: She has an ability to raise her game when it really counts. She does it on both ends of the court. She has a knack for rebounding. For her only to be a sophomore she s a tremendous leader. Allison gives her all every single day. Justin Zemanski

    Roethlisberger

    • School: Findlay

    • Class: Senior

    • Height: 6-1

    • Position: Wing

    • Key stats: A two-sport standout, Roethlisberger also was highly recruited in volleyball before committing to play basketball at Oklahoma. She is the first female athlete in Findlay history to earn All-Ohio first team in two sports. She is 74 points shy of breaking Findlay s career scoring record, and is averaging 22.1 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per contest. A four-year starter, she has led Findlay to back-to-back regional appearances.

    • Coach says: She came in as a freshman and immediately earned the respect from the team. She brings athleticism, height and agility. She s also a competitor. Her versatility makes her a truly outstanding athlete. Connie Lyon.
