    For the second straight year, seniors Shareese Ulis of third-ranked 18-1 Waite and Carlee Roethlisberger of 16-4 Findlay shared Division I player of the year honors on the Associated Press northwest Ohio all-district girls basketball team.

    Ulis, a 5-7 guard who led the Indians to three straight City League championships, averaged 15.9 points and 4.7 assists per game. Roethlisberger, a 6-1 guard-forward who has led the Trojans to tomorrow's D-I regional final versus Central Catholic, averaged 22.3 points and 7.8 rebounds.

    Top coaching honors in D-I were shared by Justin Zemanksi of 19-1 Northern Lakes League champion Anthony Wayne and Bill Sykes of 17-3 Greater Buckeye Conference champion Marion Harding.

    Rounding out the D-I first team are 6-0 sophomore Allison Papenfuss (15.9 points, 10.6 rebounds) of Anthony Wayne, 6-3 freshman forward Natasha Howard (16.1 points, 11.2 rebounds) of Waite, 5-9 senior guard Stephany Johnson (15.6 points, 7.2 rebounds) of 12-7 Bowsher and senior Yanette Feagin (17.1 points, 7.3 rebounds) of 13-7 Mansfield Senior.

    In Division II, 6-4 junior Cierra Bravard (22.3 points, 8.6 rebounds) of 17-3 Sandusky Perkins was named player of the year, and Dan Trease of 18-2 Lexington was selected coach of the year.

    Also on the D-II first team are seniors Haley Ducey (10.5 points) of 18-2 Ottawa-Glandorf, Jenny Miller (17.8 points, 9.6 rebounds) of 16-4 Clyde, Melissa Goodall (14.8 points, 9.2 rebounds) of Lexington, Lindsey Kentner (17.3 points) of 18-2 Wapakoneta and Amber Heistan (16.7 points, 9.8 rebounds) of 15-5 Lima Shawnee.

    Senior wing Amanda Schroeder (19.2 points, 6.4 rebounds) of 18-2 Columbus Grove is the player of the year in Division III, while top coaching honors are shared by Dan Grothouse of 19-1 Delphos St. John's and Mary Ann Heldman of 19-1 Riverdale.

    Also on the D-III first team are 6-3 junior Brittany Darling (20.0 points, 11.0 rebounds) of 17-3 Suburban Lakes League co-champion Genoa, 5-7 junior Brooke Morgart (19.8 points, 6.4 rebounds) of 12-8 Elmwood and 5-11 senior guard-forward Abby LaVigne (16.0 points, 9.9 rebounds) of 17-2 Northwest Ohio Athletic League champion Swanton.

    Rounding out the D-III first unit are seniors Danielle Jacoby (19.8 points) of 14-5 Carey and Jeanne Bockey (12.2 points) of Delphos St. John's, and junior Claire Aubry (23.8 points, 7.0 rebounds) of 15-5 Upper Sandusky.

    In Division IV, 5-9 senior guard-forward Megan Jamieson (17.0 points, 6.5 rebounds) of 18-1 Toledo Area Athletic Conference champion Ottawa Hills was selected to the eight-member first team along with player of the year Whitney Lindsay (20.6 points), a 5-7 guard from 14.6 Mansfield St. Peter's.

    Top coaching honors went to Steve Brown, who guided Stryker to a 19-1 regular-season record and a Buckeye Border Conference title.

    Also on the D-IV first team are seniors Courtney Ritzler (17.2 points) of top-ranked, 20-0 Midland Athletic League champion Hopewell-Loudon, Courtney Schmersal (18.3 points) of 12-8 Pandora-Gilboa, Megan Boukissen (11.9 points) of 18-2 Fremont St. Joseph, Stephanie McCord (19.0 points) of 9-11 Fayette and Nicole Wright (12.8 points, 7.6 rebounds) of 16-4 New Knoxville, along with junior Kara Dysert (16.1 points, 12.1 rebounds) of Ada.
