Maumee runs to victory over Waite

Maumee rolled up 444 yards of total offense in a 49-0 rout of visiting Waite last night.

All seven of the Panthers touchdowns came on the ground as they rushed 44 times for 306 yards. Justin Ringstaff led the way with 13 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns.

Jordan Jakacki rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries and also completed 6 of 12 passes for 138 yards. His main target was Bryant Hoffman who caught three passes for 53 yards.

Waite had 33 yards of offense.

Muskegon Oakridge 14,

Woodward 0

MUSKEGON, Mich. - Luke Cole scored twice in the first half to give the Eagles the shutout victory.

Cole scored on a one-yard run in the first quarter and added a two-yard scoring burst in the second period for Oakridge, which ran for 249 yards.

Woodward's Johnny Washington had three sacks against the Eagles, who won Michigan's Division 5 state title in 2005.

Olmsted Falls 40,

St. Francis 21

OLMSTED FALLS, Ohio - Olmsted Falls outscored St. Francis 19-7 in the second half on the way to a 40-21 victory.

Mike Varga led Olmsted Falls on the ground with 238 yards on 19 carries and one touchdown. Olmsted Falls quarterback John Atkinson went 9-of-17 for 175 yards and three touchdowns passing, and added 96 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Gary Michalski scored two one-yard touchdowns on the ground for St. Francis. Chris Weiland scored the other St. Francis touchdown on a six yard run.

Hopewell-Loudon 21,

BLOOMDALE - Hopewell-Loudon never trailed after jumping out to a 21-0 first-half lead.

Running back Adam Brickner led the way with 220 yards and one touchdown on 40 carries as the Chieftains piled up 254 of their 393 total yards on the ground.

Hopewell-Loudon quarterback Tyler Brown finished 10-of-20 for 139 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown pass to Lukas Schalk.

Elmwood scored late on a 27-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Butch Curtis to Ben Hammer.

Fremont St. Joe 42,

Derek Meyer threw for one touchdown and ran for three others to lead the Crimson Streaks to the victory in a game played at Northwood.

Meyer scored on runs of 18, 17 and 13 yards while adding a 40-yard TD toss to Jake Kusmer. Meyer helped lead St. Joseph to 305 yards of total offense.

Brook Kerr took the game's opening kickoff 80 yards for a score and Nick Baker added an 11-yard run for the Crimson Streaks' other touchdowns.

Cardinal Stritch finished with just 49 yards of total offense.

Lakota 40,

Northwood 0

KANSAS -- Lakota tallied 359 total yards on offense and used a 20-point scoring binge in the thirrd quarter to rout Northwood.

Raiders senior running back Justin Apple finished with 146 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries and capped off the scoring with a 26-yard scamper to the end zone in the third quarter.

Lakota sophomore quarterback Jon Timmons hit Jacob Smith for a 27-yard touchdown pass to give his squad a 20-0 halftime lead.

Northwood was held to 96 total yards and picked up only four first downs in the game.
