Girls basketball: Bowsher edges Clay as Roberts tallies 29

Tiara Roberts scored 29 points as Bowsher held off visiting Clay 65-60 last night in City League girls basketball.

Tiffani Blackman and Amanda Gregory added 11 each for the Rebels (10-7, 6-4 CL).

Amanda Watson netted 25 points and Megan Scharer 14 for Clay (8-8, 6-4).

SCOTT 52, WHITMER 42

Juniors Ashayla Yancey and Skyler Gregory scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, for host Scottt (5-12, 4-6 CL).

The Panthers (7-10, 3-7) got 21 points from Laura Campbell. Brianna Nagy and Ashley Hooker chipped in with 11 and 10 points.

WAITE 96, WOODWARD 27

Natasha Howard paced the host Indians (11-5, 9-1 CL) with 25 points. Brooke Hunt added 17, Stephanie Keaton 13, Courtney Jackson 11 and Jasmine Hamdan 10.

Iesha Bradford had seven points for the Polar Bears (0-14, 0-10).

CENTRAL CATHOLIC 86,

ROGERS 35

Brianna Jones led the host Irish (14-3, 9-1 CL) with 14 points. Emily Sifuentes added 13 and Sharise Calhoun 11. Ashley Sujkowski and Danielle Lewis had 10 apiece.

Jasmine Crosby tallied eight for the Rams (4-11, 2-8).

WOODMORE 51,

PORT CLINTON 45

ELMORE - Woodmore outscored Port Clinton 15-7 with 10 points at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.

The Wildcats' Kristen Jacobs, who scored 10 points, was 6-of-6 from the foul line in the fourth quarter. Megan Bitter led Woodmore with 12 points.

Bethany Buchanan topped Port Clinton with 16.

Emily Loomis knocked down 18 points and Lacey Anagnostu 17 for the host Warriors.

Sarah Clark scored 21 points for Monclova Christian.

SWANTON - Nicole Lamb led Stritch (12-5) with 14 points.

Swanton (6-12) got 13 from Paige Onweller and 10 from

Ashlee Polkinghorn.

FAYETTE -Taylor Langenderfer led Evergreen with 12 points.

Katelyn Downing scored 14 for Fayette.

WAUSEON - Krista Roe led Wauseon with 15. Chloe Stiriz added 11.
