NLL: Perrysburg gets by Springfield 75-70

The undefeated Yellow Jackets had a Blue Devil of a scare last night.

Perrysburg survived an upset bid by Springfield, prevailing 75-70 on the road in the Northern Lakes League.

Neal Linthicum poured in 30 points, including four of the team's nine 3-pointers, for the Yellow Jackets. Charlie Hughes added 12 points, while David Hieber and Thomas Salmon chipped in with 11 points each.

With the game knotted at 57 after three quarters, the Yellow Jackets outscored Springfield 18-13 in the final stanza to move their record to 17-0, 12-0.

Chester McFadden led Springfield (5-11, 3-9) with 17 points. Zach Culbertson, Austin Koback and Tyler Lieber had 15 points apiece. Culbertson knocked down five of the Blue Devils' 10 3-pointers.

Southview 71,

Maumee 33

Playing without three of its starters, Maumee (4-14, 2-10) was outmanned and overpowered at Southview.

The Cougars jumped out to a 19-7 lead before outscoring Maumee 19-4 in the second quarter for a 38-11 halftime advantage.

Eleven players scored at least two points for Southview (14-3, 11-1). Josh Craig led all of them with 20 points, while Tim Hausfeld and Jordan Scott had 10

apiece.

Damon Contat and Coty

DiSalle were the only Panthers to finish in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Rossford 64,

Northview 60

Dustin Sattler scored 23 points, including six of Rossford's eight points in the second overtime to give the Bulldogs (7-10, 6-6) the win.

Mike Schaffer led Northview (4-13, 3-9) with 18 points, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie the score at 56 in regulation and send the game to overtime.

Neither team scored in the first overtime.
