NLL: Yellow Jackets remain unbeaten

Perrysburg remained undefeated last night with a 62-43 Northern Lakes League victory at Northview.

Perrysburg started strong by building an 18-9 lead in the first quarter.

David Heiber led the Yellow Jackets (18-0, 13-0) with 16 points, doing most of his damage from the inside. Thomas Salmon added 11.

Mike Schaffer led the Wildcats (4-14, 3-10) with 15.

The teams combined to make only nine free throws - Perrysburg seven and Northview two.

Perrysburg faces Southview (12-1) next Friday at home for an outright NLL title.

Southview 65,

Bowling Green 48

At Southview, the Cougars advanced to 15-3 overall and 12-1 in the NLL with the win.

Tim Hausfeld tossed in 24 points for Southview, including 12 of 14 from the foul line. Josh Craig added 14 for the Cougars.

Patrick Graham totaled 15 for Bowling Green (6-11, 5-7), while Chauncey Orr and Conner Kilpatrick added 12 and 10, respectively.

Anthony Wayne 62,

Rossford 54

Tyler Launder scored 14 points and Brad Celusta added 11 for the Generals (8-9, 6-6).

Dustin Sattler paced visiting Rossford (7-11, 6-7) with 19 points and Tommy Kralovic added 18.

AW won on the boards 34-20, but survived making 25 turnovers.

Springfield 56,

Maumee 48

Springfield started strong to defeat homestanding Maumee, leading 13-5 after the first quarter. Maumee rallied, trailing by only five at the half.

Chester McFadden led the Blue Devils (6-11, 4-9) with 17 points. Austin Koback added 12 and Josh Broomfield 11.

Anthony Dybala paced Maumee (4-15, 2-11) with 15 points. Jay Hall added 12 and Damon Kontat 11.
