Perrysburg whips Waite; Fostoria tops Whitmer

Rogers 62, Northview 24

E.J. Tucker ran 22 times for 282 yards for Rogers and scored five touchdowns as Rogers rolled past Northview 62-24 last night in a nonleague game.

The Rams (1-2) had 579 yards rushing and 21 passing for a 600 total. Rashon Stallworth scored three times and CorneliusBuchanon added a TD.

Ryan Kremchek completed 31 of 49 passes for 367 yards and two TDs for Northview (1-2).

Wildcat scores included two by Tyler James, who caught nine passes for 144 yards, and Mike Epstein who caught nine for 124 yards.

Adding to Northview s woes were two fumbles lost inside the Rogers 9.

Perrysburg 41, Waite 0

Matt Slocum completed 7 of 12 passes for 141 yards and three touchdowns to lead the host Yellow Jackets (2-1).

Slocum threw scoring passes of 10 and 47 yards to Hayden Pryka and added a 14-yard scoring strike to Tyler Boone as Perrysburg built a 31-0 halftime advantage.

Brandon Butler finished with 128 rushing yards on 21 carries and one TD, while T.J. Fatinikun also had a rushing TD.

Perrysburg finished with 361 yards of total offense, including 220 rushing yards. The Yellow Jackets limited Waite (0-3) to 21 yards of total offense, including minus-13 rushing yards.

Fostoria 42, Whitmer 35

Micah Hyde passed for three touchdowns and ran for two more as Fostoria came from behind to beat host Whitmer, which led 21-13 at halftime.

Hyde threw touchdown passes to Jordan Bulkowski, James Rickman and Levi Lambright. Hyde rushed for scores of 15 and 1 yards and finished 20-of-27 passing for 241 yards.

Julian Nash led the Panthers ground game with 30 carries for 210 yards and three touchdowns, scoring on runs of 12, 82 and 20 yards.

Joe Missler scored the other two Whitmer touchdowns on runs of 7 and 1 yards.

Dayton Carroll 20, St. Francis 17

DAYTON St. Francis was outscored 13-3 in the second quarter and wasn t able to overcome the deficit in falling to 1-2.

Quarterback D.J. McPartland completed 10 of 22 passes for 150 yards to lead the Knights, who scored their two touchdowns on a pair of one-yard runs by Lee Lukasik.

Lukasik s second score came with 10.9 seconds left to play, but the Knights were unable to score after recovering the ensuing onside kick.

Pat Dyer added a 33-yard field goal for St. Francis.

The Patriots (1-2) were led by Joe Arata, who had touchdown runs of 11 and 20 yards. Carroll also tackled the St. Francis punter in the end zone for a safety and got a 43-yard field goal from Ryan Adams.

Strongsville 34, St. John s 6

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio St. John s trailed 20-0 at the half as Strongsville cruised.

Titans quarterback Walt Anderson finished 6-of-15 passing for 199 yards and a touchdown. He also was the leading rusher for St. John s with 59 yards on 13 carries.

Kellan Pagel led Strongsville with a 10-of-20 passing effort with 186 yards and two touchdown passes.

Toledo Christian 21, Woodward 7

At Waite, Toledo Christian sophomore tailback Graham Miller rushed for 204 yards and a touchdown as the Eagles scored 14 points in the third quarter to break a halftime deadlock.

Grant Sims scored on a 41-yard pass reception from Nick Rightnowar and Taylor Savage scored on a 13-yard run for the Eagles (2-1).

Devonte Parker accounted for the only Woodward (0-3) score on a two-yard run. Quran Fane paced the Polar Bears with 70 yards on the ground.

Southview 28, Start 12

Southview s Alex Pidcock completed 14 of 21 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns.

Pidcock s primary target was Shaun Joplin, who caught 10 passes for 237 yards and a 65-yard touchdown.

Kyle Hall caught touchdown passes of 34 and 22 yards for the Cougars (3-0). Ryan Jozsa (6 carries, 83 yards) scored on a 19-yard rushing TD.

Start s lone touchdown came on a 15-yard pass from Aaron Newman to Hank Oswald in the fourth quarter.

Newman was 12 of 25 for 284 yards. Kyle Whitmore kicked two field goals for the Spartans (0-3), including a 50-yarder.

Sandusky 34, Scott 12

Armon Richardson and Lamon McKintric both rushed for 100 yards but Scott lost at home.

Richardson rushed for 183 yards on 18 attempts and had touchdown runs of 8 and 55 yards. McKintric accounted for 101 yards on 12 rushing attempts and completed 7 of 18 passes for 134 yards. McKintric also made an interception on defense.

Daniel Carouthers had 129 yards on three catches for Scott (1-2).

Sandusky s Eric Jordan had three rushing touchdowns and teammate Delonne Baker added two. Sandusky is 2-1.

Bay 13, Libbey 7

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio Libbey s Charles Washington scored on a 6-yard run but the Cowboys fell on the road.

Bay s Bryan Boss returned the kickoff following Washington s score for a 78-yard touchdown.
