Devils' Page paces upset of Maumee

Thanks to Eric Page, Springfield knocked Maumee from the ranks of the unbeaten last night as the Blue Devils topped the visiting Panthers 55-41.

Page carried the ball 41 times and gained 331 yards with touchdown runs of 1, 2, 67 and 17 yards.

The quarterback also hit 9 of 16 passes for 174 yards with no interceptions and scoring passes of 28 and 30 yards to Jake Glover and 11 yards to Alex Grogg.

The Blue Devils (4-3, 2-2) also got a one-yard scoring run from Tony Shepler.

Kyle Bowell found the end zone four times for Maumee runs of 20, 14, 3 and 1 yards and gained 68 yards on nine carries.

Quarterback Jake Goatley hit 17 of 27 passes for 298 yards, also with no interceptions, with scoring tosses of 21 yards to Damon Contat and 50 to Erik Studyvin.

Alex Pidcock ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 182 yards and three more touchdowns as Southview rolled on toward an unbeaten season with a rout of Northview.

James Hall caught two of his TD passes and Shaun Joplin caught one as the Cougars ran their record to 7-0, 4-0 in the NLL.

Bernard Pinckney added a 90-yard kickoff return to start the second half.

Mike Epstein caught a TD pass from Ryan Kremchek for Northview's (1-6, 0-4) only score.

BOWLING GREEN Cody Rife scored on touchdown runs of 11 and 8 yards as Bowling Green jumped out to a 20-0 lead at the half.

Aaron Mershman was 11-of-17 passing for 107 yards with a nine-yard TD pass to Adam Crawford for the Bobcats (3-4, 2-2).

Crawford finished with four catches for 33 yards and also rushed for 32 yards on three carries.

Rossford (0-7, 0-4) was held to 103 total yards compared with Bowling Green's 321.
