Waite's Howard tops 1,000 points

Waite junior Natasha Howard scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Waite to a 65-32 City League girls basketball victory over visiting Scott last night.

Howard has now scored 1,011 career points for the Indians (13-3, 10-1).

Amanda Gregory added 14 points and 10 boards for Waite, which is alone in second place in the league after Start's victory over Central.

Skylar Gregory led Scott (12-6, 6-5) with 11 points.

ROGERS 57, BOWSHER 42

Edeltha McGee scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures for Rogers.

Latisha White and Jasmine Crosby added 11 points apiece, and Jazmin Whitely chipped in with 10.

Golden Brown dropped in 17 points and Ciara Hudson had 14 points and 18 rebounds for the host Rebels.

NOTRE DAME 67,

WOODWARD 22

Demy Whitaker scored 14 points and Jasmine Blanton added 10 for visiting Notre Dame. Tara Turner and Lexus Sullivan scored six each for Woodward.

CLAY 53, ST. URSULA 36

At St. Ursula, the Eagles received 14 points from Lexi Laberdee and 12 each from Jessica Achter and Megan Scharer.

Hillary Lorton led St. Ursula with 12 points.

WHITMER 51, LIBBEY 39

Malisa Hoak scored 10 and Laura Campbell and Shelby

Ramierz 9 apiece as the Panthers won at home.

Macketta Allen tossed in 19 points to lead Libbey.

BEDFORD 40, PIONEER 22

TEMPERANCE, Mich. - Amelia Davis scored 12 points to help Bedford improve to 16-0.

Pioneer fell to 12-4.
