FINDLAY Demi Moschetti poured in a game-high 22 points to lead Perrysburg to a 43-25 rout of Marion Harding to claim a Division I district girls basketball championship Saturday at the University of Findlay.

Toledo City League champion Start sent Waite packing with a 65-50 victory at Perrysburg. Both local teams advance to the regionals Tuesday in Norwalk.

Moschetti, a 6-foot senior, scored 12 in the third quarter when the Yellow Jackets (23-0) outscored the Lady Presidents 16-8 to take a 30-17 advantage.

Perrysburg, which will play in the regional semifinal against Solon Tuesday at Norwalk, never allowed Harding (20-4) to get any closer than 11 points in the final quarter.

The Perrysburg-Solon matchup will precede a faceoff between Start and Westlake (22-2).

The Spartans' Yolanda Richardson got into foul trouble early Saturday night against Waite, which put freshman Jaymie Jackson and sophomore Maleeka Kynard in the spotlight.

Jackson scored 11 of her 16 points in the quarter, and Kynard notched 11 of her game-high 21 in the fourth as the City League champion Spartans (19-3) advanced to Tuesday's regionals.
