COLUMBUS - Six Division I wrestlers from northwest Ohio, including a pair from Clay, earned All-Ohio honors by finishing in the top eight in their weight class.

The Eagles' Nick Garcia placed fifth at 103 by posting a 7-2 decision over Corey Selmon of Cincinnati Princeton to finish his junior year with a 46-11 record. Teammate Justin Wharton placed seventh at 160 thanks to a 7-2 decision over Ian Korb of Cincinnati Elder to give him a 45-9 record in his senior year.

Greg Isley of Southview, who placed second at 189 last year, took third at that weight class this year.

After losing his first match of the tournament - and the season - in sudden-death overtime, the senior rebounded with five straight victories, the last a 3-0 decision over Kyle Sanders of Columbus St. Charles that gave him a 31-1 record.

Findlay's Matt Alexander took seventh at 171 following an 8-5 decision over Patrick Rigsby of Columbus St. Charles. Dennis Cox of Bowling Green lost a 3-1 overtime bout to Steve Powell of Cincinnati Moeller to place eighth at 285.
