Liberty Center's Lingruen gains 200th win

METAMORA - Liberty Center rallied from a 12-0 deficit and coach Rex Lingruen won his 200th game as the Tigers edged Evergreen 21-20 last night.

Jake Elling had a 17-yard scoring run in the third quarter for Liberty Center and added a two-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. He finished with 156 yards on 28 carries for the Tigers (2-1, 2-0 Northwest Ohio Athletic League).

Sean Sexton Liberty Center's first score, a nine-yard touchdown in the third.

Lingruen has a 200-75 record in 25 seasons.

The Vikings (1-2, 0-2) held an early lead as Lucas Pennington hooked up with Chad Mossing twice in the second quarter for touchdown passes. They first connected on a 55-yard strike and then again on an 18-yard score.

Pennington finished with 204 yards through the air while Mossing had 125 yards receiving.

Jackson Langenderfer had a 23-yard touchdown run in the third for Evergreen.

Patrick Henry 48, Montpelier 6

MONTPELIER - Justin Buenger ran for 143 yards and three touchdowns while Luke George added 67 rushing yards and two scores to lead the Patriots to the win.

Buenger scored on runs of 3, 2 and 71 yards while George had TD runs of 10 and 11 yards in the first half. George also hit Dylan Tonjes with a 35-yard touchdown pass as PH lead 42-0 at halftime.

George, the Patriots' quarterback, completed 9 of 12 passes for 160 yards to lead PH (3-0, 2-0) to 474 yards of total offense.

Joel Daft scored on a 19-yard run in the fourth quarter and finished with 87 yards on seven rushes for the Locomotives (0-3, 0-2).

Fairview 47, Archbold 37

SHERWOOD - Brandon Radcliff scored on a 55-yard interception as part of a third-quarter rally to lift Fairview.

Fairview's Brock Mosier rushed for 80 yards, scoring twice for the Apaches. He completed 26 of 40 pass attempts for 405 yards.

Archbold's Garrett Morton rushed for 348 yards for four touchdowns.

In the third quarter Mosier began the rally of five unanswered touchdowns.

In the final two minutes, Morton connected a seven-yard touchdown pass to Noah Keefer.

Bryan 43, Delta 14

BRYAN - Cody Keil and Levi Fisher each ran for a two touchdowns to lead the Golden Bears.

Keil scored on runs of 1 and 10 yards and also threw an 11-yard scoring strike to Alex Nossaman. Fisher added TD runs of 3 and 1 yard and finished with 149 rushing yards on 22 carries.

Keil had 64 yards rushing and completed 11 of 17 passes for 165 yards for Bryan (3-0, 2-0).

Delta (2-1, 1-1) scored its TDs on a 66-yard run by Ian Stubbins and a 62-yard run by Eric Puehler.

Puehler finished with 94 yards rushing while Stubbins added 88, but the Panthers did not complete a pass and finished with minus-four yards of offense in the second half.
