Area girls: Huron overpowers Bedford; Pettisville quiets Fayette

ANN ARBOR - The hosts hit 6-of-8 from outside the arc in the first half and built a 40-15 lead by the intermission last night in a Southeastern Conference game and went on to win 66-34.

Bedford (3-7, 0-4) was led by Sam Pavlika with 10 points.

Pettisville 37, Fayette 23

FAYETTE - Pettisville moved to 8-4 overall by limiting Fayette to just six field goals.

The Blackbirds led 21-12 at the half and never let the Eagles any closer.

Erica King led the winners with 16 points.

Tinora 46, Fairview 24

DEFIANCE - Kendra McConn and Ashley Moyer each had 11 points to lead Tinora. Kayla Bostater scored 11 for Fairview.
