Delta defeats Swanton to stay perfect in league

DELTA - Nate Jackson's 15 points and Drew Salsbury's 14, coupled with strong defensive play, allowed Delta to stay atop the Northwest Ohio Athletic League in boys basketball with a 66-34 victory over Swanton.

The Panthers improved to 10-2 overall, 5-0 in the NWOAL.

Jerred Peabody led Swanton (5-7, 1-4) with seven points.

Archbold 53, Patrick Henry 31

HAMLER - Archbold (12-3. 4-1 NWOAL) grabbed a 31-16 halftime lead and cruised.

Garrett Morton and Collin Walker led the Blue Streaks with 13. Christian Goering added 11.

Kent Tietje paced the Patriots (1-10, 1-4) with nine points.

Evergreen 55, Liberty Center 36

LIBERTY CENTER - Lucas Pennington scored 20 points to lead the Vikings (11-2, 4-1). Jackson Langenderfer added 10).

Michael Poignon and Phil Snow each had 11 points for Liberty Center (2-10, 0-5).

Bryan 71, Montpelier 38

BRYAN - Matt Wisler led the Golden Bears with 21 points.

The Bears (6-6, 3-1 NWOAL) also got 15 points Caleb Turnbull, 13 from Zach North and 12 from Alex Nossman.

The Locomotives (1-12, 0-4) were paced by Chris Hephner's 14.
