Eagles outscore Royals 17-0 in OT

PEMBERVILLE - Eastwood outscored Elmwood 17-0 in overtime to come away with a 71-54 victory Friday night in Suburban Lakes League girls basketball.

Kristin Martin led the Eagles (5-10, 4-4 SLL) with 20 points and Kerri Gangwer contributed 10.

Ashley Fairbanks scored 6 of her 15 points in the extra period, including 4 of 5 from the foul line. The Eagles converted 22 of 28 free throws.

Sierra Beckford paced Elmwood with 16 points, Emily Reynolds scored 12 and Lindsey Heller 11.

Lake 47, Otsego 39

MILLBURY - Lake extended its regular-season winning streak to 37 games.

The Knights (11-5, 5-3 SLL) led 13-12 after the first quarter, but the Flyers (14-0, 8-0) took control in the second, outscoring Otsego 10-4.

The eight-point win ties the smallest winning margin of the season for the Flyers, who beat Fostoria St. Wendelin 45-37.

Kaysie Brittenham led Lake with 10 points, while Drew Plummer tallied nine points and hauled down nine rebounds.

Otsego's Ashley Holzwart and Baley Bernthisel scored 12 points apiece.

Woodmore 49, Gibsonburg 34

ELMORE - Audrey Thorbahn and Chelsey Marquette scored 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Wildcats (10-7, 4-5 SLL).

Woodmore trailed 6-2 after the first quarter but outscored the Golden Bears 20-10 in the second quarter.

Jessica Whetsel and Sam Stainbrook produced 10 points apiece for Gibsonburg (3-12, 0-8).
